As online shopping is developing and witnessing growth in MENA region, many sellers are looking for ways to promote their products online and attract users to buy many products. It’s kind of easy to sell your products in a usual store, but when it comes to online shopping, there’s a huge challenge ahead. So how do you convince users to click on Call to action (CTA) buttons?
CTA is guiding users towards your goal conversion. It’s the part of the landing page that the user needs to click in order to take the action you want them to take. It’s about convincing users to buy your products and attracting them in every way possible.
So how can you write a good Call to action for your online store? Take notes.
1- Be direct by using a verb:
Users like things when they’re direct, simple, and easy.
- save
- buy
- shop
- compare
- find
- order
Don’t complicate the whole process and make it hard for users to shop online. Be direct and use simple verbs. Using a verb helps you tell someone how to get from point A to point B. A verb on your button text can provide direction and guidance to your visitors.
2- Try appealing to emotions:
A great CTA needs more than just good design and placement. It requires an emotionally charged message. Inspire users to take an action you want them to by making a connection between the product and the customer. Sparking emotions can convince users to buy the product and make it more appealing. Here’s a good example:
“Buy this Palestine v-neck short sleeved shirt” Vs “Stay attached to your homeland with this everyday Palestine T-shirt” See? it’s all about creating an emotional connection between the customer and the product.
3- Load it up with a benefit:
Customers like to save while shopping, so loading a product up with benefit shall make the product more appealing to the customers and encourage them to buy your products. By providing a benefit, whether it’s a sale, a promotion of some sort or even to reinforce the results of your product will make a difference. Mostawda, for example, offers 25% sale on Babies & Kids products. Not to mention, Shipping is FREE!
4- Issue a deadline – maybe with a limited-time sale or promotion:
Give your customers a feeling that they should take the chance because it’s limited. Boost a sense of urgency to take action. When a consumer is aware of a deadline for your offer, they’ll be more inclined to click. They’ll feel the urge to take the opportunity because it might never come again.
5- Speak to your customers’ practical side, instead of your inside knowledge of the industry:
Talking about simplicity again, make your products and your store as accessible as possible. Customers prefer things when they’re straight forward. Give a hint of what your customers are about to see but without piling everything right away. Remember that your customers like to know some information ahead of time. Speak to their practical side and attract them to check your products.
6- Throw a number in there:
While shopping, your customers will be looking for numbers. Motivate customers to click and check your products by throwing a number. it’s a percentage off, an actual price or a number of days left to save, including a number will define the CTA. A 50% percent will absolutely encourage customers to check your products. Numbers will do the magic, trust me.
7- Exclamation Points, a touch of enthusiasm:
“Buy One Shirt and Get one FREE!!”
When you’re passionate about your product and online store, your customers are sure to follow. Add exclamation points to show your own enthusiasm about your products and the customers will feel it and they will check the products.
